And so it was that our 22 Graduates left the Holistic Centre of Excellence nest last week, just as our new intake are preparing for the same journey as those that went before them. At their Graduation Event, our full house of over 100 guests, were mesmerised by the performance of International Singer Dr Noirin Ni Riain, who sang and shared words of wisdom with all of us.  We were also blessed with the inspirational keynote speech from Catherine Mc Geachy, who yet again integrated knowledge from the fields of science, medicine and holistic in a way that allows all of us to understand, the value of our work. Make the most of these less hectic summer days, by daydreaming wisely. The extra freedom that we have during the summer time can be put to great use for planning our futures. As you relax, allow your mind to drift in a way that will benefit you in planning a future that will give you the freedom to relax not just during holiday seasons, but to create a lifestyle that will allow you more relaxation time throughout the entire year. Take a look at your regular schedule from this detached perspective, make a list of the “non-essential” time consuming activities that fill your busy days. Ask yourself- is this really necessary, or is it just a habit you have created? Make a deal with yourself that you will “de-clutter” some of the activities that no longer serve you. The sun always seems to shine at exam time for students, and while sunshine does help a little in regards to a reduction of anxiety, the stress of exams can lead to an increase of anxiety sufferers. This time of year I tend to see an increase in young people who are facing into exams. The really great news is that it usually only takes one session to re-calibrate those stress levels. It is very important that we lower those stress levels for exams, because when we are in high stress mode, our fight or flight mechanism fires up, and one of the effects of this, is a shut down of our memory function. So the students ability to re-call information is adversely affected. There are also specific techniques that we teach students that enhance their re-call ability, and these again are taught during the stress reduction session. So please if you know of anyone

We were delighted to be a part of the Pendulum Summit this year at the magnificent Convention Centre in Dublin. 1800 delegates spent the day being inspired and motivated, with An Taoiseach Enda Kenny opening the day, followed by nine more international speakers and closing with our favourite Deepak Chopra. It was a perfect fit, as we gave over 50 of the delegates Energy treatments during the break out times. Deepak even read the article that was published for Holistic Centre of Excellence’s graduation, a paper written for us by Catherine McGeachy Everything is Energy.- an enlightening day, one that I would recommend to anyone who want to get a boost of motivation. Christmas is a time to reflect on the year just passed, and I find myself summarising the year, the ups, the downs and the achievements. This is a very useful exercise as it brings clarity, and helps me to prioritise goals for the coming year. I suspect most of you have done this also, I hope that the “up’s” were the winner for you last year. Either way though, the new year brings with it, hope and a resolve to have a great 2015. Having set your goals then, there is only one obstacle that will hold you back- Fear! To achieve anything you must keep a keen eye out for this thief! Fear is what will prevent you from stepping forward to move out of your comfort zone. To achieve ANYTHING you must be willing to move beyond this fear. Sincere apologies for not being in touch since September, I really think time is moving at a faster pace these days. Yet, on the other hand, it has been a very productive time. Thank you to so many of you, who attended the looong party that was our book launch- the celebrations lasted four days! It was a fun project to write my first book, and I am amazed by the positive feedback and support that everyone is showing for it, so heartfelt thank you for all the good wishes. Our students are well and truly settled into their studies, so keep up the good work and we will welcome the holidays with our Christmas party night out. I have to agree, and changing our Holistic Therapist Diploma into a two year training, to bring it in line with University Level was an exciting challenge. Our students will benefit dramatically from this new structure, in year one they will train in the core modules of Anatomy & Physiology, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Holistic Massage, Business & Professional Conduct and of course Reiki 1 for self-care. This means that they will be fully qualified as therapists at the end of Year 1 so for the advanced Year 2 modules, they can work with clients and receive full clinical support from our expert teachers, and of course support themselves financially during Year 2. For the Holistic Therapist Diploma they will complete the comprehensive extra modules that will allow them the opportunity to explore the fields that they may wish to specialise in. What an appropriate time for projects to come to fruition. This year was very creative, and it was very exciting to complete two major projects. The first is particularly exciting, because it allows me to share my work with an infinite number of clients throughout the world, helping people to overcome the epidemic that is Panic Attacks and Anxiety. We are already in 110 countries around the world, and I don’t even have to leave home-how cool is that? It is the materialisation of a vision/goal that I had many years ago- again proving the law of attraction, in the true sense of it.
