Blog 13th June 2011 What an inspirational weekend! Huge thank you to Alessandra for another spectacular weekend, the participants of this Enhance Your Life training really stepped up the plate, as we laughed, cried, and broke through many personal barriers so that we could become the creators of our dreams. Apologies! It’s been too long since Ive updated you, thankfully, this is due to some many exciting things happening-where should I begin? A BIG THANK YOU- to the 100+ who came to our 1st Open Night for the Holistic Centre of Excellence, we had a super night, and what an attentive audience you were, there wasn’t a peep while I gave the Holistic Healthcare for the 21st Century presentation, or indeed while Diane Hannagen gave the presentation about our new Centre. Afterwards it turned into a very social evening as our 11 Associates and most of the audience stayed for light refreshements. It was a great opportunity for many of us to put faces to names. On Saturday - 5 of our associates provided an Outreach Program to 40 participants of the Pink Ribbon Walk in Killaloe, again a resounding success, congrats to Nicola Wood and her team of organisers. Blog 9th May 2011 Ask & you shall receive! Yet again I have first hand experience of this law in action. Recently I have been well aware that although I teach Holistic Healthcare-ie. Mind Body Spirit balance-and daily I help myself & lots of clients with Mental, Emotional & Spiritual issues-alas the Body aspect I have been neglecting. My nutrition plan is non-existant as I grab anything in view in a hurry to ward off the hunger/low sugar level headache and eat it as I move to the next task! So I have been “asking” for a solution-and hey presto-enter Moria Geary and the Power Juicing Day-we had a super day this Saturday, and I truly feel I have found the solution to my nutrition dilemna. I arrived home armed with my new juicer-which I love-purely because I can throw a whole apple and most other veg/fruits without have to chop or peel. My other

Easter Bunny! I trust that you have had your fill of Easter Eggs, and with the sun-loungers being dusted off, the effects will have been evident!!! Isn’t it fantastic to see the wonderful sunshine, it puts us all in an optimistic mood. So what’s been going on here? Our Easter has been busy, 9 of us had a most enjoyable day Easter Saturday in Glenstal, as we presented our Holistic Healthcare for the 21st century lecture, and met some fabulous people who were attending the Easter retreat. It was absolutely idyllic there in the sunshine. This Bank holiday Sunday had us at the Integrated Health Expo in the Lakeside Hotel in Kilaloe, perhaps we meet you there? Dalai Lama Rocks!! If only we could bottle his laugh, absolutely infectious. What a great way to a spend a morning, last Thur in UL was fantastic, the organisation was superb, the entertainment great and the simple wisdom spoken by the man himself, impacted on all of us. From our perspective as Holistic Centre of Excellence, it was very exciting to hear him say, 1- that Holistic is the way to go, 2-we must do scientific research into the emotional impact on our bodies 3-that compassion must be taught within education-simply through smiling, and that mindfulness should be part of the curriculum 4-that our mental health should get more consideration, all us associates felt like jumping up to shout-we teach people that, and that, and that!!! He also alluded to the changes that are already happening in that direction, which again we in the field are very aware and excited about-for sure there just won’t

Hope all you mothers were shown the ultimate appreciation this weekend for your privileged yet challenging work! Thank you to the 11 therapists who gave willing of your time this week, as we donated in excess of 65 treatments to the mothers of Moyross & Ballynanty, again all of us feel so privileged to be able to make a difference for others, and we have a great time too-how could we possibly call this work?-that’s one of those cosmic jokes-when you find your passion, it is effortless to perform, and yet we can call it a job!!!! Beautiful Weather Hasn’t it been the most beautiful week, daffodils blooming and waking to sunshine, roll on a warm summer! What an inspirational talk that Barbara Max ……. Gave last week on the Birth2012 site. 15,000 people from 120 countries tuned in to hear her speak about creating a birth event, where local circles of synergy can come together to create coherence on a grand scale, using the infracture of people, resources, systems and technology, to create the world which we desire. It’s a bit like setting new years resolutions but for a new era. They are planning a 90min broadcast for Dec 22nd 2012 which we can all participate in. The goal is for all of us to move from the illusion of separation to an awareness of connection, and once we all have an understanding of the evolution story, it will make the transition easier for all of us. Holistic Centre of Excellence at Glenstal We are thrilled to announce that the full-time diploma in Holistic Therapies will start this September at the Holistic Centre of Excellence in the wonderful setting of Glenstal Abbey in Murroe, Co Limerick, we truly couldn’t ask for a more appropriate setting, and the news has us buzzing all week. This is a unique course and the Holistic Centre of Excellence is the first to offer it in Ireland. Students will study over 20 Holistic modalities, and receive practitioner qualifications in 10, the course will run 5 days per week, and we have a highly qualified team of 12 tutors who are passionate about Holistic healing, as is evidenced by each of their busy private practices.
