Blog 6th August 2012 Summer! Well, we live in hope! Just aswell that there isn’t the dilemma of sunshine to distract me from all the work that goes into planning next years programs for the Holistic Centre of Excellence. We have a very exciting line up this year, and the good news for those of you who have wanted to take our full time course but couldn’t commit to a five day week, is, we have re-arranged the timetable so the course will be taught in a 16hour week with a weekend module once per month, including an evening Reflexology course and an evening Anatomy & Physiology class each week. Blog 20th June 2012 Holidays are coming! One of life’s pleasures when you work is the contrast of a holiday-and I intend to embrace this upcoming one with the same vigour I put into my work! If any of you are intending to have a private session, please book now for next week, before I head off. So what has been happening? Our corporate department have been very busy, as corporations “wake up” to the value of HCE’s holistic programs, to both their staff and their organisation, it’s great variety to be working around the country, mind you-the late night sessions in the hotels can be a bit of a distraction!! Congratulations to Nicola Wood and her team for another superb Pink Ribbon run last weekend in Kilaloe. Blog 2nd June 2012 School’s Out! As the first graduates of the full time program at the Holistic Centre of Excellence, leave the cocoon that was their home since last September we congratulate them on their excellent achievements throughout the year, as they start their own business with a vast array of qualifications, knowledge and experience (they have already treated over 200 clients!) They are the first ever therapists to have received a training of this calibre, and because of this we know that they will enjoy vast success in their careers, as they embrace the work of getting this country healthy again, not just with individuals but through their commitment to community work through our Outreach Program and beyond. Blog 2nd April 2012 Where to begin? Wow, what an exceptional month March has been-we have been on tour! We had a super day out in Dublin, at the ESB conference, where Carolyn Heagney gave the best 5 min presentation on Reiki, and then we went on to deliver over 50 treatments to the middle and top management of ESB, all of whom-without exception loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed treating the attendants at UL for the Women’s Day conference, again gratefully receiving tremendous feedback. It is the perfect combination to be receiving a treatment whilst attending the conference! Rathfreda House in Newcastle West was another fantastic day for us, as we treated both staff and some of the residents who suffer with permanent brain damage. Again we thank Mary Angela for her wonderful hospitality. The Limerick Lifelong Learning festival seems to have been a very successful week, congrats to all involved, we certainly enjoyed contributing

Blog 27th Feb2012 Almost March! Even the extra day this year doesn’t promise to make us feel like we have any extra time-it is zipping past. The IRI AGM was a great success this weekend in Athlone, we have a great time meeting many like minded people and congrats to our own Diane Hannagen who was voted onto the Board of Irish Reflexology Institute, there is a general consensous that major breakthroughs are currently happening in the field of Holistic Therapies, which is something we have been aware of for a while now, all you “retired” therapist’s had better dust off your uniforms! The Ayurveda course started last week and all who attended were captivated by Doug’s teaching, looking forward to the 2nd class this week. Blog 16th February 2012 Game Show Fun! To my biggest surprise it was great fun, we laughed non-stop. The experience was interesting, watching how many crew it takes to record one show was amazing. AND- We managed not to desend into the usual family “ debate” that tends to happen when we play games together –that, was our greatest success! According to the crew we were one of their favourite “families” as we were such good fun, which at the time I considered nice, but unusual, because we were indeed having a great laugh, but the crew weren’t with us that much-it was two days later that the penny dropped-we had microphones on the entire time-even when we were off air in our dressing room!!!! Blog 23rd January 2012-01-23 Well there’s my first New Years Resolution busted-I promised to write this blog weekly and I realise it’s been 3 weeks!!! So bless me for I have sinned!! It’s not surprising that I haven’t noticed the time pass, it has been fantastically busy in the best way. Many exciting new projects are blossoming which I will be able to share with you soon. Thank you to our many Outreach clients this month, we always have the best job satisfaction with you. Thanks to Mary Grogan for a very interesting Chakra Matrix class, the students are thoroughly enjoying Carolyn Heagney’s Diet and Nutrition, Breeda’s Yoga class, and we are all looking forward to the Angel Therapy classes starting next week.
